Constructed on an antique child's school slate . The slate is broken and only fragments remain. The remaining pieces became my substrate. Materials include additional slate and beach and art glass and a few pottery shards. When I thought it was done, I realized that it could be two sided, and I mosaicked the reverse. It looks wonderful hanging and turning in front of a window.
